EMSWORTH FOOD
FESTIVAL
That's it for another Year!
Looking back to
the 2007 Festival ........
With about 55,000 visitors and 120 exhibitors. the sun shone
and visitors to the Festival together with Emsworth residents
had a wonderful opportunity to sample, purchase and enjoy a
fantastic range of foods, wines and beers. With pretty much
continuous free entertainment the village had a carnival
atmosphere. Over £1,000 was raised through the raffle to set the
fireworks off on Friday Evening and we concluded on Sunday
afternoon with the singing of nostalgic and patriotic songs
accompanied by in the square. Come back next year and we will do
it all again!
Thank you to:
-
all
our visitors whom we hope had a good time
-
-
all the volunteers who give so willing of their
time throughout the year and over the festival weekend
-
the police, especially Sgt Ian Grey who is in
charge, Lisa Jones our Emsworth beat "bobby" and Special
Constable Richard Owen who we consider to be Emsworth's
very special constable. Between them the made sure that
the event runs smoothly and that local residents have as
much vehicular access to their homes as is safe.
-
Freda & Shamus who provided extra parking space
for residents and businesses in the traffic exclusion
zone.
-
all the local business and residents for their
support.
all the volunteers
who helped over the weekend
the
young men and women from 47 Regiment R.A. who proved a
great deal of muscle and manned the various barriers.

We are
some times asked why do we do it?
The
answer is - because we enjoy it and people appreciate it:

Subject: Thanks!
To the food festival team,
Just to say thank you to the
organisers and all the volunteers who worked so hard in the
run up and over the weekend. We visited both Saturday and
Sunday and enjoyed the weekend so very much.
we appreciate how much time,
effort and stress must be experienced when putting on such a
large event especially when there can be obstacles which
make you feel "why am I bothering"? Well, here is your
answer. Because people like us would miss out!
May you continue for years to
come....
Regards,
Matthew and Julia Copeland
