Emsworth Food Festival Photographic Competition 2007

 Calling all budding photographers!

 Help us record the memory of one of the most exciting festivals yet by sending in your favourite picture(s). The winning image and other favourites will be used within the
Festival literature and on the website.

The image can be of Emsworth, food, exhibitors, entertainers or people just enjoying themselves – just remember to get permission from them.

Simply send in your image(s) - digitally only - by November 5th and you will be in the running for a bottle of Canard Duchêne champagne and festival goodies. The winner will be announced on the website in late November.

Programme 
 

The Programme for the 2007 Food Festival will be launched  at the Emsworth Show on Monday 27th August 2007. Thereafter it will be available in local Restaurants, Pubs and Shops.

Explore the new education zone, aiming to deliver healthy eating and rolling easy to watch demos in bite sized chunks. Entry is FREE, so make sure you get to the marquee early to avoid disappointment

 Kids will love rolling up their sleeves for some real cooking in the Kitchen Academy’s sessions and cake decorating in the Sunday Breakfast Club, run by Havant College.

 Easy nutritious meal ideas are delivered in 20 minute slots by local food writer, Rosemary Moon. Using locally grown sweetcorn, she will show the versatility of the family’s favourite vegetable on Friday, whilst organic milk, cream and meats from the Goodwood Estate takes a star turn on Saturday afternoon.

 Catering lecturer, Paul Mansfield will focus on five a day, using his super food wok to demonstrate great tasting yet simple healthy meals.

 First time students can get to grips with student survival in the one pot cooking demonstration on Saturday afternoon.

 Outside kids can get grubby planting winter box allotments, held at the end of each day.

Volunteers are still Needed

The success of the festival is very much dependent on the volunteers who help over the three days in September every year, without them it simply wouldn't happen!

The organising committee are always seeking the help of new volunteers to assist with the multitude of tasks that have to be done.
